We catch Hannah at a notably busy period as November 2026 sees the EFG Jazz Festival descend upon London again with King's Cross' Kings Place serving as an incredible hub of performances this year with luminaries including Ambrose Akinmusire, Bill Laurance, Norma Winstone and Dave Holland.
Hannah's Kings Place Jazz Orchestra teams with Scottish saxophonist Matt Carmichael for what is set to be an incredible performance 20th September at Kings Place so we discuss the show with her, as well as her having relocated from Liverpool to London, the importance and difficulty of finding your voice as a young artist and the gift of giving back to a younger generation of jazz talent.
Whether by celebrating the music of composer Stephen Sondheim or the music of old Hollywood, Hannah brings an unmistakable charm to her music and live performances that have seen her amass some incredible successes. And again, whether her vision is portrayed via the intimacy of a duo formation, the richer sounds of her septet or the all-encompassing arrangements of the big band ensemble, we're afforded the luxury of dwelling within her boundless imagination and it's a pleasure to do so.
